Imaj Thomas, illustrated all the characters for Sacha and the Magic Cookie Maker Coloring story book in 2001 when she was 11 years-old. She is the youngest daughter of Philip Michael Thomas. Imaj has been drawing since she was 3 years-old. At the age of seven she wrote and illustrated her first book titled Starlight Rose. When she was 9 years-old, her visual illustrations garnered praise from some of the top visual artist in the industry, and she won the best artist award at her elementary school. Imaj always dreamed that one day she would visit France and Italy and be among some of the great artists to develop herself and achieve her goals. She loves to encourage younger artists and advises them to keep a sketch book, a pencil case, and colored pencils and draw whatever they can imagine. Imaj advice to parents with young children. “Put a pencil in their hand and a sketch pad, and tell them to draw. Make sure the paper is tracing paper. Put a picture under it and help them trace the picture. Do this for a week, then get plain paper and put the pencil into their hand and let them draw. You will see great improvements.” I would like to thank my daddy and mommy for all their help. Imaj is currently a country singer. She released her first country album in 2012 followed by her second album America’s Sweetheart in 2016. She has been featured on ABC Good Morning Texas, ABC WFAA’s Nightly News, Fox News: Deco Drive and The Dallas Morning News. She was also a special guest singer for some well known country music stars such as Collin Raye, Billy Dean, Gretchen Wilson and LeAnn Rimes. For more information visit: www.loveimaj.com |
